Dr. Jacqueline Kalams leads our frontline medical team with a focus on high-acuity, life-saving care. A graduate of the University of California, Davis, she initially honed her clinical skills as a veterinary technician in avian, exotic, and small animal medicine before earning her Doctorate in 2014. Following a rigorous rotating internship in emergency medicine, surgery, and internal medicine, she spent six years managing critical cases as a full-time emergency clinician in California. Dr. Kalams is passionate about fostering a collaborative, supportive environment where medical excellence and client communication go together during high-stress moments. Her professional expertise in critical care ensures that every patient receives sophisticated, attentive treatment when it matters most. Outside the hospital, she is an avid gardener and cook who enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband, their two children, and their dog, Wesley.
