Dr. Rohn brings nearly three decades of experience in small animal specialty surgery to the team at Southern Oregon Veterinary Specialty Center (SOVSC). A board-certified veterinary surgeon since 1997, he has spent his career in specialty and referral practice, providing advanced surgical care and helping develop surgical services at multidisciplinary specialty and emergency hospitals across the United States.

Doug earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990, where he received the G.G. His experience includes founding Bay Area Veterinary Specialists, where he served as Medical Director and Supervising Partner, as well as establishing surgical services and providing specialty and locum surgical support at hospitals throughout the western United States.

Doug’s approach to veterinary medicine centers on providing an exceptional surgical experience for every patient while ensuring families are informed partners in their pet’s care.
