Is It an Emergency?

If you are worried about your pet’s health, please do not hesitate to seek help. We believe that if it is an emergency to you, it is an emergency to us.

Please seek immediate care at our 24-hour emergency animal hospital if your pet shows any of the following signs:

  • Difficulty breathing or blue, white, or pale gums

  • Accident or trauma (such as being hit by a car or a fall)

  • Seizures, collapse, or paralysis

  • Uncontrolled vomiting, diarrhea, or retching

  • Ingestion of toxins or foreign objects (like socks or toys)

  • Straining or inability to urinate, which can be a life-threatening blockage

  • Severe pain or active, heavy bleeding

No Appointment Needed

You do not need an appointment for emergency services. While we encourage you to call ahead so we can prepare for your arrival, we prioritize patients based on the severity of their condition (triage) to ensure the most critical pets receive immediate, life-saving attention.

Advanced Life-Saving Services

Our hospital is equipped with the same sophisticated technology found in human hospitals to provide a higher standard of critical care for pets. Our services include:

  • Advanced Diagnostics: Rapid results via digital X-rays, ultrasound, and CT (computed tomography) for a detailed view of internal injuries.

  • Life Support: Mechanical ventilation (a machine that breathes for your pet) and high-flow oxygen therapy for severe respiratory distress.

  • Transfusion Medicine: On-site blood bank providing plasma and red blood cells for trauma or illness.

  • Emergency Surgery: Immediate intervention for laceration repairs or internal emergencies.

  • Pain Management: Multimodal protocols tailored to keep your pet comfortable during recovery.

What to Expect: Our Care Process

We understand that an emergency visit is a stressful experience. Our goal is to provide a seamless, organized journey for you and your pet:

  • Initial Triage: A Client Service Representative and medical team member will greet you. If your pet is in a life-threatening state, they may be taken immediately to our treatment area for stabilization.

  • Examination & Plan: A doctor will examine your pet and discuss a personalized treatment plan and financial estimation with you.

  • Hospitalization & ICU: If your pet requires intensive care, they will stay in our ICU (Intensive Care Unit). Here, dedicated nurses provide continuous monitoring, catching subtle changes to ensure your pet stays safe and stable.

  • Doctor Collaboration: Our team of doctors regularly review hospitalized cases together, as a team, to ensure your pet benefits from multiple expert perspectives.

Partnership with Your Primary Veterinarian

We are not here to replace your family veterinarian; we are here to support them. We believe in a team-based approach and provide timely medical updates to your primary doctor so that your pet’s care remains seamless once they return home.
